Zona Franca Romana’s core business consists on the rental of industrial space, mainly used for manufacturing and storage. Its parks currently have over 1M square feet of industrial space, in over 5M square feet of land and future development areas. ZFR’s buildings average 30,000 square feet, the largest being around 200,000 square feet.

As the industry and demands of it’s clients changed, Zona Franca Romana developed diverse spaces in order to accommodate service industry clientele. ZFR also offers office and service spaces that can adapted to the clients needs.

Startup Support

At a competitive fee, we offer our clients the following startup administrative support:

  • Legal constitution of companies, both local and foreign.
  • Human Resources Management - Recruiting and background checks for employees, Payroll management and many other services available by request.

Customs Office

At Zona Franca Romana we have customs Offices operating 24/7 within its parks for a quick and effective exit and entry approval of shipments available to its customers. The government operated offices are focused on facilitating the import/export process of our client’s shipments.

Security

ZFR’s clients can count on 24hr security services within and around the parks. “Guardianes Costasur”, a security company owned by Central Romana Corporation, handles security.

ZFR also offers its clients the option of having their individual security needs handled by the team for a reasonable fee.

Private Hospital

Central Romana Medical Center is a modern three level hospital, with a construction cost of RD$ 1,200 million pesos. It has 84 beds in comfortable private and semi – private rooms, four operating rooms with the latest medical equipment, including Olympus Endo Alpha system or Intelligent Operating Room for general and laparoscopic surgery. Also two areas for intensive and coronary care with wireless telemetry and a specialized burn unit with soaking tub.

The Medical Center has an Obstetrics/Gynecology and newborn department with post -natal intensive care, complete clinical laboratory, and emergency area. There is also a 24 hour pharmacy and cafeteria. 

The hospital is backed up with an ambulance service with three modern units to assist patients. Each ambulance is assigned a trained paramedic and they each have an automatic defibrillator (AED).

Along with the General Hospital it operates a modern imaging medical center called Diagnostica Social, where CT services, mammography, bone densitometry, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) unencapsulated, magnification and other studies that require high technology are done.

Fire and Rescue

ZFR’s clients can count on 24hr fire and rescue response teams, strategically located within the vicinity of our parks. Owned and operated by our parent company, Central Romana Corporation.

General Maintenance

ZFR’s main objective is to facilitate the day to day operations of it’s clients, therefore a scheduled maintenance and response team is at hand to handle any issues. Preventive and responsive maintenance teams are available for any issues.

Electrical Maintenance

Electrical maintenance and response team is available 24/7, to serve and respond to any issues, with preventative and response teams.
